Nu Skin Launches Big Planet-branded Internet
and Telecommunication Services in Taiwan
Partnership with Taiwan Telecommunications Network Services (TTN)
brings Internet and telecommunications services to Nu Skin distributors and their customers in Taiwan
TAIPEI, Taiwan — Oct. 4, 2000 — Nu Skin Taiwan, a Nu Skin Enterprises, Inc. (NYSE:NUS) company, today announced that it has entered into agreements with Taiwan Telecommunications Network Services, Co., Ltd. (TTN), a subsidiary of Pacific Century CyberWorks (PCCW) to offer Big Planet-branded Internet ServiceÔ and telecommunications services to Nu Skin's network marketing distributor force and their customers in Taiwan.
Both services will be co-branded - the Internet service will be branded as "Big Planet Internet Service powered by TTN" and the telecommunication services as "Big Planet BP-Talk powered by TTN."
Under the terms of the Internet agreement, Nu Skin Taiwan distributors can market Big Planet Internet Service consisting of TTN's standard Internet service. Nu Skin Taiwan's Internet service subscribers will also receive high-quality technical and customer support provided by TTN, a Big Planet E-Mail Box and access to detailed information to support Nu Skin Taiwan's Big Planet-branded Internet Service offering. The telecommunications agreement also allows Nu Skin distributors in Taiwan the opportunity to market BP-Talk, featuring access to virtual private network services.
These two new offerings support the global e-direct selling strategy of Nu Skin Enterprises by creating a foundation for the introduction of future technology products and services in Taiwan. Additionally, the Big Planet-branded Internet Service will establish an online community for Taiwan distributors to communicate with their customers and corporate offices in Taiwan using multiple channels.
